In 2021 I started as a nautical inspector. This is my primary occupation when not out in the polar regions.

Oceanwide expeditions/ 2015 - present
Oceanwide's fleet annually brings me to the most remote places on this planet. I happily provide my services as a polar guide for this company.

Back home I used to work as a hydrographer on the North Sea. I conducted depth measurements, mapping the ocean floor and performing ship wreck surveys.

In the Netherlands I found the education of a lifetime. Integrated coastal zone management. During this time I could focus on what really mattered to me: Polar science and fieldwork.

Arctic & Antarctic Sciences - RUG/ 2013
At the University of Groningen I followed the minor Arctic and Antarctic sciences. A part in my university career that taught me everything about the polar regions.
